The Myntra Ads Daily Report.

You want the month read in order and weighted by spend, because a monthly average hides the days the money actually went out on.

What the file contains.

Advertising performance by day rather than by keyword or product: spends, clicks, orders and revenue for each date in the period.

It answers what an aggregate cannot. A month at an acceptable average can contain a week where cost per click doubled, and a monthly figure weights every day equally regardless of how much was spent on it. Reading the month in order, weighted by spend, shows where the money actually went.

It is also the fastest way to see whether a change you made had an effect, because the effect has a date and the aggregate does not.

On a fashion marketplace the daily view carries more signal than it would elsewhere, because Myntra sale events concentrate an enormous share of the month into a few days. A month containing an End of Reason Sale is really two different months stitched together, and every average across it describes a period that never existed.

What it can tell you.

  • Which days consumed the budget, and at what efficiency
  • Whether performance changed on a specific date
  • How weekday and weekend advertising differ

ANALYSE IT

Daily Report

The Myntra month read in order, weighted by spend rather than averaged over days. On the account this was built against ten days carried half the budget and returned 3.25 while the other nineteen returned 4.37 — the money went out on the worse days, which no monthly average can show.

  • Spend-weighted Month
  • Day-level ROI
  • Heavy vs Light Days
  • Trend in Order
