Auditing where the budget actually went.

You want to know whether your budget is in the right campaigns — which profitable ones are capped out and which are sitting idle.

What the file contains.

Not a distinct Amazon export — it is the campaign reports read against a framework. Campaigns are grouped by the job they do, from exact-match performance through ranking, expansion, discovery, brand defence, retargeting and awareness, and spend is totalled per tier rather than per campaign.

That reframing answers a question the campaign report cannot. A list of forty campaigns sorted by spend tells you which individual campaign is largest; it does not tell you that two-thirds of the account's money is in discovery while the exact-match campaigns that actually convert are budget-capped by nine in the morning.

The two failure modes it surfaces are opposites and both common. Campaigns hitting their daily cap while profitable are turning away volume you would happily buy. Campaigns never approaching their cap have a bid problem, not a budget problem, and raising the budget will change nothing at all.

It is the backward-looking twin of the budget planner: one forecasts where money should go, the other reads where it went.

What it can tell you.

  • How spend distributes across campaign purposes, not just campaigns
  • Which profitable campaigns are capped and turning away volume
  • Which campaigns never spend their budget, and therefore have a bid problem
  • Whether the allocation matches what you intended when you set it

Where reading it goes wrong.

  1. 01

Raising the budget on a campaign that never spends it

A campaign spending ₹300 of a ₹1,000 cap is not budget-constrained. It is losing auctions, and only a bid or a targeting change will alter that.

  2. 02

    Leaving a profitable campaign capped

A campaign under break-even that exhausts its budget daily is the cheapest growth available, and it is the one most often left alone because nothing about it looks broken.

Budget Allocation Audit

Audit campaign budgets against the playbook's seven-tier framework: allocation share per tier, profitable campaigns hitting their cap, and idle budget worth reallocating. Complements the forward-looking Budget Planner.

  • Seven-tier Allocation
  • Capped Profitable Campaigns
  • Idle Budget
