The Flipkart PLA Search Term Report.
You want Flipkart searches rolled up properly — including the ones Flipkart splits across capitalisations, which hides what a term really costs.
What the file contains.
One row per customer search query against your Product Listing Ads, with views, clicks, spend and the orders and revenue attributed to them. Structurally it is Flipkart's answer to Amazon's search term report, and it carries the same two halves: the queries taking money without converting, and the ones worth targeting deliberately.
It is also considerably harder to read correctly. The number of preamble rows above the actual header varies by report type, so a parser that assumes a fixed offset silently reads the wrong row as its header. Conversion rate appears on two different scales depending on which export you pulled — as a fraction in some, as a percentage in others — and nothing in the file tells you which you have.
Get either wrong and the file still loads. That is the danger: a misread Flipkart export does not error, it produces a plausible dashboard with the wrong numbers in it.
What it can tell you.
- Which search queries spent without producing orders
- Which queries convert well enough to target deliberately
- How much of PLA spend is going to queries you never chose
- Whether a campaign's cost is concentrated in a few queries or spread thin
Columns worth understanding.
- Expected ROI
- Blank does NOT mean zero. A blank means the campaign is bidding on CPC rather than targeting a return — a different campaign type, not a failed target.
- Conversion rate
- Published as a fraction in some report types and a percentage in others. Check whether your column tops out near 1 or near 100 before drawing conclusions.
How to export it.
- 01Login to Flipkart Seller Hub
- 02Navigate to Ads
- 03Click Reports
- 04Open the Other Reports tab
- 05Under Ad Product, select PLA
- 06Under Report Type, select Search Term Report
- 07Select your required Date Range
- 08Click Download
- 09Upload the downloaded CSV file here.
You end up with a CSV file.
Where reading it goes wrong.
- 01
Reading a blank Expected ROI as a zero target
It means the campaign is a CPC campaign. Treating it as an ROI campaign that missed its target inverts the conclusion on every CPC campaign in the account.
- 02
Assuming a fixed header row
The preamble above the header differs between report types. A spreadsheet opened with the wrong header row shows column names in the data and data in the column names, and often still looks plausible enough to act on.
PLA Search Terms
Flipkart PLA search terms rolled up to the query. Finds the terms your own campaigns bid against each other on, the spend that returned nothing, and the searches Flipkart splits across capitalisations — which hides most of what a term really costs.
- Query Roll-up
- Self-competing Terms
- Zero-return Spend
- Capitalisation Merging
- Match Type Split

Reports to pull alongside it.
- Flipkart PLA Keyword ReportWhich of your Flipkart keywords earn their spend, and whether a whole match type is taking money and returning none — one switch to flip rather than a keyword-by-keyword prune. Carries both of Flipkart's ROI figures, because a keyword can look fine blended while selling none of the product it was bid for.
- Flipkart PLA Product ReportWhich of your Flipkart products the budget is actually going to, and whether that is the right one. Reports concentration alongside the ranking, because a ranked list shows a failing product as one row rather than as most of the account.
- Flipkart PLA Campaign ReportThe only Flipkart PLA report naming both the product an ad was for and the product actually bought. Finds ads that mostly sell something else, products selling on another product's budget, and whether each campaign is bid on ROI or on cost per click.
